In the field of design, talent and creative skills are no longer enough to start or develop a freelance career. The real challenges begin when you seem to have all the necessary technical skills, but don't know how to create a budget and timeline, build a portfolio, have an individual niche, and most importantly, position yourself correctly in the market. Competition is very high, and working independently is even more difficult. In these conditions, information about illustrator compensation is quite vague. The Sense of (Freelance) Illustration crash course is a guide to overcoming these challenges, based on Anano's personal experience gained over the years. During the course, participants will go through the full cycle of creating an illustration - including finding inspiration, analyzing briefs, drawing and refining sketches. Most importantly, they will be able to work on projects/exercises based on the brief, which will help them overcome the fear of a blank page when put into practice. The course will be led by freelance illustrator Anano Miminoshvili. Her portfolio includes up to 200 freelance projects and clients such as The New York Times, Chanel, BAFTA, FILA, Adobe, Meta, Airbnb, The Washington Post, The New Yorker, The Hollywood Reporter, and many others. The meetings will be hosted at Stamba Hotel.
